Mexico Visa Type
There are basically three types of Mexico visas depending on the time of your stay.
- Mexico tourist visas are granted for a period of up to 180 days. This visa is primarily for entry into Mexico for travel or other employment reasons.
- Temporary resident visas are issued to foreign nationals wishing to migrate to Mexico. This is for more than six months but less than four years. Temporary permanent visas include work visas and family visas
- Mexico Permanent Resident Permit This type of visa is most common for foreigners wishing to stay in Mexico for retirees living in Mexico with a separate income. This is why this visa is also referred to as a Mexican retirement visa. Foreigners who have lived in Mexico for at least four years as temporary residents are also eligible for permanent residency in Mexico.

- Photocopy of your passport and required pages. This includes the first and last page, any visas and stamps you received

- Book tickets for the flight
- Evidence of family ties such as:
- Proof of marriage certificate or general law union of spouses / partners
